Chobe Marina Lodge Update: Vice Chairman Leads Rebuilding Efforts

Following a fire that broke out at Chobe Marina Lodge, Kasane Botswana on 17 November, affecting the main building, our team immediately began formulating plans to rebuild and restore the damaged areas. Comprehensive safety assessments were initiated to ensure that future operations could proceed under safe and secure conditions.

Earlier this week, RDC Vice Chairman of the Board, Guido Giachetti conducted an onsite visit, accompanied by members of parliament, to review and discuss the rebuilding plans. This visit underscored the strong commitment to restoring the Lodge while prioritizing safety and upholding its renowned standards of service.

This collaborative effort highlights the Lodge’s critical role as a pillar of the local community and a vital destination for international tourism. The team remains dedicated to resuming operations swiftly and effectively, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Following the fire incident at Chobe Marina Lodge, we are pleased to confirm and reaffirm that the situation is fully under control. All guests and staff were safely evacuated at the time of the incident, and we are relieved to report that no injuries or harm occurred. We extend our sincere gratitude to the local community for their support and swift response, as well as to our dedicated staff for their professionalism in ensuring safety throughout the situation. Our team is actively working on plans to rebuild and restore affected areas and is committed to resuming operations in the near future. Safety assessments are currently underway, and we are taking every precaution to ensure the continued safety and comfort of our guests.

We wish to inform the public that a fire broke out earlier today at Chobe Marina Lodge. We are pleased to confirm that the fire has been extinguished, and all necessary safety measures are in place.

The safety and well-being of our guests and staff are our top priority. As a precautionary measure, all guests have been safely evacuated from the premises. We are relieved to report that no one has been harmed in the incident. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as necessary.
