Reservation Guarantees, deposits and payments
The credit card is debited for the full stay at the time of reservation.
Online bookings will be secured once your card is transacted with 100% pre-payment
Items not included in this quotation will be charged for in addition and will be charged on arrival
Your online pre-payment must clear in the property’s bank account prior to arrival and proof thereof sent to the lodge in advance.
Stanbic Bank and First National Bank (FNB) Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) disclaimer
The booker confirms that by entering his/her profile number, PIN and password he/she has authenticated his/herself as the person that is authorized to debit his/her account with the amounts of the transactions and hereby instructs Stanbic Bank to pay such amounts to the third parties that he/she has nominated via the systems. The booker further confirms and agrees that he/she shall not be entitled to countermand or amend such instruction once Stanbic Bank has received and implemented the said payment instruction and that the payment instruction is subject to the Stanbic Bank terms and conditions of use, to which he/she is bound. The booker confirms that the purchase of all services (“the goods”) constitutes an agreement between him/her and the third party suppliers (“suppliers”) and agrees that all his/her rights and remedies with respect to his/her order, purchase, possession and use of the goods and liability as well as any other obligations related to the goods, if any, shall be subject to the applicable terms and conditions of the suppliers. The booker also confirms that Stanbic Bank is not a party to any such agreements and has no responsibility or obligation in regard to the agreements other than to effect payment to the supplier as duly instructed and that he/she shall have no right of recourse against Stanbic Bank. Appropriate risk mitigating measures need to be taken to counter the possibility of fraudulent transactions.

Cancellation and Refunds policy
Reservations cancelled within 14 days of arrival will forfeit 100% of the booking price. Cancellation made 15 or more days prior to arrival will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellation made 30 or more days prior to arrival will receive a 100% refund.
No Shows
- Off Peak: 100% of the first night’s accommodation rate is applicable as the no-show charge.
- Peak: 100% of the full stay is applicable as the no-show charge.
Customer Privacy policy
Chobe Marina Lodge shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Payment options accepted
Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express Cards or by bank transfer into the Chobe Marina Lodge bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.
Card acquiring and security
Card transactions will be Chobe Marina Lodge via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. DPO PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by Chobe Marina Lodge separately from card details which are entered by the client on DPO PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on DPO PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.
Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is Botswana/United States. Transaction currency is United States Dollar (USD) or Botswana Pula (BWP).
Responsibility
Chobe Marina Lodge takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
Country of domicile
This website is governed by the laws of Botswana and Chobe Marina Lodge chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, Plot 21306 President Ave, Kasane, Botswana
Variation
Chobe Marina Lodge may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
